Iron painting, also known as Wuhu iron painting or Wuhu iron picture, is one of China's first National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

This unique art form was born from the fusion of the creativity of a painter and the craftsmanship of a blacksmith. It is this exceptional production process that gives iron painting its narrative qualities, akin to flat artwork, as well as the light-and-shadow effects typical of sculpture.
